    This open forum session offers visitors the chance to discuss methods of ‘Capturing Data’ with a DRS educational specialist. Enjoy a tea or coffee in the dedicated DRS e-Marker® zone, talk to an awarding body who has already embraced electronic marking and walk through the various processes involved - from candidate scripts being scanned using sophisticated imaging technology through to the application of the variety of e-Marker® modules.

Thursday 2nd March 13.45 The role of Management Information Systems in e-Assessment led by Roger Plant – Pearson Phoenix

    This workshop will explore how to effectively manage marking and assessment to enhance professional judgment and support teaching and learning in schools.  It will include a look at the benefits of using e-portfolios and how to reduce the administrative assessment burden. This seminar will be run twice, once at 11.00am and a second time at 12.00 in the same location.

    This workshop follows on from Paul Humphries' presentation and looks at the role that e-learning and e-assessment standards have to play in e-consolidation. This interactive session aims to exchange views on the way ahead for e-consolidation and discuss how standards will both facilitate and potentially limit future developments.
